WT brainwashing has made me acquire an aversion to blood for some reason. But if I needed it, I would get one; but I probably wouldn't be able to look.

Has anyone seen the article, Young People Ask., Do I need a mobile phone?
by laylaluv inhas anyone seen the article, young people ask........do i need a mobile phone?
this is on the home page of the society.
jesus stated the wise principle that one should "calculate the expense" before undertaking an important project.

I checked out this article and I started to laugh hysterically.
"Many who start out using the phone moderately may find it taking up more of their time than they expected—and crowding out more important things. Mika used to spend a lot of time with her family around the dinner table. "Now," she says, "after we have our meal we go back to our rooms with our own [mobile phones].""
It really makes you think, does anyone who would spend so much time with a "mobile phone" have much of a life in the first place? I pity the person, but I bet it was fabricated in the writing department.

Hebrews 1) Long ago God spoke to our ancestors in many and various ways by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom he also created the worlds. 3 He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs. 5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have begotten you"? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"? 6 And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God's angels worship him." 7 Of the angels he says, "He makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire." 8 But of the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions." 10 And, "In the beginning, Lord, you founded the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands; 11 they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like clothing; 12 like a cloak you will roll them up, and like clothing they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will never end." 13 But to which of the angels has he ever said, "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet"? 14 Are not all angels spirits in the divine service, sent to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation? (NRSV)
Doesn't it make sense that the "only-begotton" son of God would be God himself? Jesus was begotton, not created. And as we can see from Paul's passage above, the argument that Jesus was an angel holds no weight whatsoever. It is similar to the Arian heresy of the 4th century.

The big problem is the GB doesn't respect Jesus. I mean, they brag about not having songs about Jesus even though the early Christians worshiped Jesus and not "Jehovah" (which was long out of use then anyways, see writings of Clement of Alexandria). Anyways when Jesus comes it would be a lot of work for them in their view. Teaching all those people, tending to crops (wait a minute, didn't Paul say God would do away with food? 1 Cor 6:13), and cleaning up after armageddon (wait... where does it say that in the bible?, logical though, but so is purgatory).

Hail Satan
by new in.
i have a question for you who have a background of being wittness.i was forced to become a wittness by my mother.now when i am older i feel nothing but hatred becourse of that damnable brainwash.from my early boyhood i have allways been attracted with what is called satanism.this i confess now.the only true religion for me.that's i ask from you folks.is there anyboby out there who confess satanism after leaving jw's?

In the WT we see Satan doing everything in the world and God doing nothing. I think that JWs are the only christian group who doesn't believe in miracles (although they do believe that saying "Jehovah" will solve all their "demonic" problems). I guess being raised as a JW and learning how Satan has all the power in the world one would be attracted to that power. BTW doesn't the whole Black Mass make you think... i mean Satanists aren't mocking WT "the memorial" but mainstream Christianity.

Door-to-Door Work - Most Inneffective Work of the 21st Century
by Black Man inknockin' on doors when nobody's home, processing ten of thousands of hours that u know are fake, refusing to embrace modern-technology to further the work just adds up to the most ineffective public relations campaign of the 21st century---yep, you guessed it the house-to-house work.........

ignorance is strength
I've read somewhere that actually going from door-to-door would've been impossible in the jewish (or was it greek?) social system of that time. It was more likely that the houses that were being referred to were the house of worship. You never read of Jesus going into people's houses to preach to them, always went to the synagogue unless he was invited to dinner. I think the preaching of the apostles in the hellenistic areas was mostly done in overseas synagogues and in public places like the place where philosophers would come and discuss things. A modern equivalent would be that place in England where any ordinary person stands on top of a box and speaks; brits will know what I'm talking about.

THIS IS HOW TO CRUMBLE THE wtbts!!
by Special K ini was reading "run dont walks" topic on "when the governing body dies off then what happens?
" great post.. what we need to do, since there are alot of just "faded" members of the j.w.
organization here with us is this... next year, all you just faded ones, (the ones not disfellowshipped or disassociated) go to the memorial and "drink the wine and eat the unleavened bread"... .. brilliant isnt it.

First we need an organisation, funded by all kinds of religious groups who find the JW's annoying. This organisation will put out public service announcements on TV and radio and will produce pamphlets about how to handle the WT teachings and the history of the organisation. They'll also offer Crisis of Conscience at a reduced price. The only thing that keeps the WT going is the denial of their history and what they actually said... suprising no one has taken this advantage.

1. The class system of Christians.
2. The refusal of the eucharist. Kinda like slapping Jesus in the face.
3. Blood Doctrine
4. Taking the allegory of sheep far too far.

Class Distinction Within The JW Community?
by Latin assassin from Manhattan inhas anyone noticed that jws who appear to be higher up on the 'socio-economic' ladder get special treatment at the kh?
no matter how many khs i've visited, i've noticed that jws who are not well off socially/financially/physically are treated with less respect/dignity than those with a business of their own, or just a higher quality of life.
i've been to many 'gatherings' where jws filter themselves out according to race or socio-economic standing.

When I was young my parents let the congregation hold book studies in a seperate apartment near our own. However, this apartment didn't have a bathroom and you had to go to our apartment to use the washroom. We have a dog and one day the PO's wife needed to use the washroom and the dog barked (only once) and came up to the her (like all normal dogs do). I remember going out in service in a car with the PO and his wife and she makes quite a few condescending comments about how we have the dog and how it dared to bark and come up to see who it was (medium sized dog, never jumps on people). Of course she was implying in the subtlest way how much our family sucked and did it right in front of me.
When the book study groups were changed, it was moved to another place. Now one of the earlier posts it gave a ranking system, our family was somewhere between 5 and 6, mainly because my parents do shift and extremely stressful low-pay work (due to lack of education) and missed quite a few meetings. I'd always hated how the upper cliques treated everyone like dirt and still managed to act so nice at the same time. It makes me angry just thinking about it.

Double-edged scriptures.
by BLISSISIGNORANCE ini'm coming to you with a request.
i'm doing some personal study (lol) to get facts together for my friends who use to study with the dubs and dubs who are questioning the borg.. the whole time i was in the borg it never ceased to amaze me how the dubs (and i was guilty of this too) used scriptures to suite themselves.
one scripture (positive) applied to them, the jws, and another (negative) applied to the others, christendom, the world.

LUKE 21:8 is the most damning scripture, makes you question the purpose, the mission statement, of the WT itself.
